LingJi Garden ("we", "us", "our") is a wellness self-observation app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data we collect

• Birth information: date, optional time, city of birth — used to calculate your five-element energy portrait.
• Reflections: mood and notes you choose to write. Stored only against your account.
• Chat history: conversations with LingJi AI. Used to provide context-aware responses.
• Account data: email (if you register), device ID, language preference, timezone.
• Usage data: action completion, garden state, app version — used to deliver core features.

2. How we use your data

• To calculate and display your energy portrait, daily actions, and friend readings.
• To provide AI chat that remembers context within your conversations.
• To send notifications (only when you opt in).
• To improve app stability and fix bugs.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

3. Where data is stored

• On your device: language preference, reminder settings, anonymous identity (if any).
• Supabase (EU/US): profile, reflections, chat history, garden data — encrypted in transit and at rest.

4. Third-party services

We use the following processors:

• Supabase — backend database, authentication, edge functions.
• Resend — transactional emails (account verification, password reset).
• JPush — push notifications (Android primarily).
• RevenueCat — subscription management.
• DeepSeek / OpenAI — LLM provider for AI chat. We send only the current conversation turn, not your identity or full history.

5. Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account. All data is permanently removed within 30 days.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your data. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].

If you are in the EU/UK, you also have GDPR rights including the right to object to processing and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

If you are in California, you have CCPA rights including the right to know and the right to delete.

7. Children

LingJi Garden is not intended for users under 13 (or under 16 in some EU jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice or email. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
